Drone Safety Information
We love to fly our drone and capture some amazing footage for you but we also take safety seriously whenever we fly.
Our drone is classed as a RPAS (remotely piloted aircraft system) and therefore we must fly under certain rules outlined by the New Zealand CAA in Part 101.
Every flight we carry out certain procedures:
- Obtain the necessary permissions needed from CAA, local Councils and any persons and/or properties we need to fly over.
- Survey the flight area including any properties we need to fly over.
- Identify any risks and hazards and put a plan in place to mitigate those risks.
Our DJI Phantom 3 has the latest safety technology included that it helps us to plan and make a safe flight every time but if we feel that anyone’s safety is at risk then we will have to re-evaluate the flight.
